Don E. Peavy, Sr., M.Div., J.D.

Welcome

Don E. Peavy, Sr. teaches religious studies and critical thinking at the University of Phoenix, Dallas Campus. He also teaches a number of courses over the Internet.

Prior to moving to Southern California, Dr. Peavy practiced law in Fort Worth, Texas, his hometown. He left the practice of law to enter active ministry. He graduated from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University and attained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin. He has completed coursework for a PhD. from Claremont Graduate University in theology, ethics, and culture. Until recently, Dr. Peavy served as the pastor of McCarty Memorial Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Los Angeles, California.

Peavy has returned to his hometown of Fort Worth, Texas where he is busy at work on several writing projects.

He is the author of several novels as well as a book on Christian ethics entitled, What Must I Do?: Bridging the Gap Between Being and Doing, which was published by Kendall/​Hunt in 2006. Play It Where It Lies is Peavy’s first foray into philosophy but will not be his last.
